Fortnightly update 14: 08.06.2020 to 21.06.2020
In this blog series, I share my fortnight-to-fortnight triumphs (and failures) as a writer. Despite all the ups and downs, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Oracle of Aegis Isle
So as you’ve probably seen, I released my D&D adventure The Oracle of Aegis Isle on the Dungeon Masters Guild this fortnight, and it definitely chewed up the majority of my mental and physical reserves, leaving me as little more than a folded sheet of shed skin the morning after (the champaign, wine, and beer probably had something to do with it too). I’ve already made a post about The Oracle of Aegis Isle, so I won’t go into any more detail here, and you can learn more about it on its Dungeon Masters Guild page, where you can also buy the adventure! Once again, thank you to everyone who helped me over the finish line, and a special thanks to Rod, who became nocturnal to finish the cover art, which is just outstanding.
I write scripts for the popular World War II YouTube channel The Front. We uploaded two videos this fortnight, as usual, and the first was about how the world is still rebuilding after the hell that was the Second World War.
The second was the second part of our video on the worst jobs of World War II, which isn’t far from hitting ONE MILLION views!
I write scripts for the popular Star Wars YouTube channel Geetsly’s. One video which I wrote the script for went up this fortnight, and I must say, it’s pretty philosophical.
I write 250-character “stories” using the #vss365 word prompts on Twitter under my own name. I wrote another haiku this week because I’m an edgelord.
Hot keyboard languor
Slave to the mouse wheel demon
Reborn each chapter
Where all the dark things constellate, where the devils hiss, witches scream, and spectres weep, where toes are hooves, nails are claws, and souls are without flesh, where the rain is ever and shadow’s thickest — that is where I recline with my black wine, my popcorn.
Well, it was a HECTIC fortnight, and honestly, I need a break, so I’m not going to start any new creative projects for about a month, focusing instead on boosting The Front and Geetsly’s, and helping to transform our little team into a fully-fledged company!
Thanks for reading, and thanks for your continual support ❤
